Challenge

In the competitive rice export industry, consistency and purity are everything. For a rice producer and exporter like Naratip Ricemill, the challenge goes beyond simply removing bad grains. They needed a solution that could handle a very specific requirement: separating rice by different colors to ensure each color variant remains pure and independent, without any mixing.

At the same time, they needed to maintain high efficiency while accurately separating good rice from bad rice. Manual sorting or traditional equipment simply couldn't meet the dual demands of color differentiation and quality control at an industrial scale.

Solution

To address these challenges, Naratip Ricemill turned to AMD® color sorting technology. We deployed a tailored setup consisting of three AMD machines: two ordinary models for standard sorting tasks, and one high-end model for the most demanding color separation requirements.

The AMD® color sorters are equipped with advanced optical sensors and AI-driven algorithms that precisely identify and eject grains based on subtle color differences. This allows the rice mill to achieve two critical goals simultaneously:

Independent Color Separation: Accurately separating rice of different colors so they remain distinct and unmixed.

Quality Control: Effectively removing defective, discolored, or bad rice to ensure the final product meets export-grade standards.
